Calling all theatre technicians who want to advance their talents, or who just love participating in the build work that goes into a show! The Stilwell Summer Musical Intensive is a week-long program where technicians do all the things they normally would for a production… but in a mere fraction of the time. Instead of focusing on one area of crew, these students will have the opportunity to participate in all technical spaces: Costumes, Build, Props, and Run Crew. This camp is for students who have recently completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, who have performance experience, and aspire to take their performance skills to the next level. All students will be called from 11am - 4pm Monday through Friday, with two shows on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday. There are NO auditions for crew students. This is a highly stimulating environment that extends for long hours. Our student to teacher ratio is 35:1. Students participating are expected to be able to have the stamina to handle themselves in large groups, small groups, and on their own during breaks. Calling all performers who want to advance their talents, or who just love being on stage! The Stilwell Summer Musical Intensive is a week-long program where performers do all the things they normally would for a production… but in a mere fraction of the time. Learning blocking, music, choreography, and memorizing lines in order to present the show by the end of the week for a full audience. This camp is for students who have recently completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, who have performance experience, and aspire to take their performance skills to the next level. All students will be called from 11am - 4pm Monday through Friday, with two shows on Saturday and a matinee on Sunday. Auditions are not required for actors. Students only need to audition if they are interested in a lead, or solo singing role. Auditions will include a group song, solo, dance portion, and reading from the show. Students casted in a speaking role are expected to be memorized by the first day of camp. Depending on role, some students will be called at 9am for more individual work. This is a highly stimulating environment that extends for long hours. Our student to teacher ratio is 35:1. Students participating are expected to be able to have the stamina to handle themselves in large groups, small groups, and on their own during breaks.
