This two-week program meets for one hour each day and gives instrumental music students the opportunity to develop their rhythmic skills, strengthen their tone and playing technique, and polish their music reading skills in preparation for the school year. A concert will be held June 21 at 12:15 p.m. at Indian Hills Junior High. Cancellation Policy If you are unable to take the class you can request a refund before the second day of class. There will be a $25 deduction from any refunds except programs canceled by Community Ed. Behavior Guidelines Please remember that participation in Community Education programs is voluntary. Students are expected to act respectfully throughout their participation. Community Education reserves the right to remove a student from a program at any time if they display inappropriate or unsafe behaviors.

For students entering kindergarten this fall. Safety Town is an educational program introducing safety awareness and preventive practices to young children. Some of the topics covered include safety around strangers, fire, water, buses, traffic, and poison. Children will have an opportunity to learn through experiences in the Safety Town village, a field trip to the West Des Moines Police and Fire departments, and a variety of classroom activities. Registration Deadline A $25 late registration fee will be charged if you register less than one week before the program’s start date.
