Cross Country Camp - Grades 7-8
The Tiger Cross Country Camp will provide a fun atmosphere for campers to learn about cross country - distance running at the junior high level. This camp is open to boys and girls, and is designed for runners to come together to bond as a future team and set themselves up for a great fall season The camp will give great head-start on what to expect for the fall season in terms of what it means to be a cross country runner. Campers will learn to properly stretch, run, eat, and hydrate. Each runner will be given a packet of information about distance running, nutrition, stretching, etc. Each camper will also have the opportunity to hearmotivational speeches by coaches and special guests.Areas of overall focus for the camp are: Goal Setting, Nutrition, Strength Training, Proper running form, Race day strategy, Principles of endurance training, Proper shoe selection, and Injury prevention, along with team bonding activities, and training plans for the summer.
Our Adventures program has engaging classes, fun teachers, and enriching experiences for K-8 students after school, in the evenings, and on the weekends.
Kids West provides safe, affordable, and convenient before-and-after school care for WDMCS children in grades K-6. In Kids West, kids can play, create crafts, learn new team games, and make friends across all ages.
