About Camp Champs

Camp Champs is a parent pay summer program for students in special education entering grades 1-9.

Camp Champs is designed to provide reinforcement skills in academic and social areas. All of the sessions will have daily rotations, which include: language arts (reading/writing), math, and social skills. Students, along with peer role models, will also eat lunch together, read aloud, and enjoy indoor/outdoor large group games.

If you have not participated in Camp Champs previously please contact Katie Hoover at hooverk@wdmcs.org, prior to enrollment, to make sure your child is eligible for the program.

This program is a parent pay option and does not qualify as extended school year service.

Behavior Guidelines

Please remember that participation in Community Education programs is voluntary. Students are expected to act respectfully throughout their participation. Community Education reserves the right to remove a student from a program at any time if they display inappropriate or unsafe behaviors.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to take the class you can request a refund before the second day of class. There will be a $25 deduction from any refunds except programs canceled by Community Ed.

Scholarships Scholarships are based on financial need and are available to assist WDMCS students with tuition for most programs. Students must attend school, or live within the WDMCS district boundaries. You can fill out the request by clicking here.
