About Summer Adventures

Summer Adventures (formerly Summer Adventures in Learning) is a central program for all types of learners! This is a weeklong program that offers a variety of classes in reading and math, along with enrichment classes such as art, science, and Spanish. Students can choose one class option for the morning and one for the afternoon. If you choose a full day of classes, your child can attend a supervised lunch and recess.

Please select the grade your child will be entering for the 2024-2025 school year.

Summer Adventures 2024 Schedule

Class 1: 9:00 am-noon

Class 2: 12:45-3:45pm

Lunch Information

Students that are registered for both classes will attend lunch and recess. The lunch period is supervised, but food is not provided.  Please have your child bring a sack lunch.  If weather permits, recess will be outside, so please put sunscreen on your child before Summer Adventures.

Registration Deadline

A $25 late registration fee will be charged if you register less than one week before the program’s start date.

Behavior Guidelines

Please remember that participation in Community Education programs is voluntary. Students are expected to act respectfully throughout their participation. Community Education reserves the right to remove a student from a program at any time if they display inappropriate or unsafe behaviors.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to take the class you can request a refund before the second day of class. There will be a $25 deduction from any refunds except programs canceled by Community Ed.

Sign up for this class and explore the mysteries of the ocean, the animals who live there, how their habitats work together, and why it’s important to protect them. Think Like a Scientist, Grades 1-2
Summer Adventures

Ever wonder . . . can raisins dance? Do ducks get wet? Find out the answers! Come join us for some science fun. We will explore science concepts through hands-on experiments. Each experiment will promote scientific inquiry and have students saying “Whoa!” and “Cool!” as they think like scientists.(Buising) Registration Deadline A $25 late registration fee will be charged if you register less than one week before the program’s start date. In this course elementary students will get to explore STEAM lab materials. They will have opportunities to code with robots, work with circuit building, and more!
