  • Gary Swenson Tiger Football Camp, Grades 9-12

    Tiger Football Camp teaches non-contact skills and helps grow the student through the fundamentals of football. They are directed by Valley High School Head Varsity Football Coach Gary Swenson. Coaches from all levels of the Valley Football Program provide the instruction during camp. Walk-ups on the first day of camp will still be required to register.     This 3-Day skills camp teaches and improves technical and tactical abilities. We will be using individual and small group training to grow campers skills. The games are designed to provide campers an environment to improve and compete in games while displaying their skill. Each registered camper will receive a free camp t-shirt.

  • Girls' Wrestling Camp, Grades 1-12

    This camp will provide students an introduction to the sport of wrestling. We will cover the basic skills and basic rules of the sport. Athletes will have fun learning the sport and meeting students from other schools. Instruction for this camp will be provided by head coach Corey Rasmussen and a couple former Valley wrestlers. Wrestlers will be grouped according to their ability as well learn the different skills and techniques of wrestling. Participants will also be receiving a camp t-shirt.
  • Graphic Design Software

    The Adobe software tools are the leading software for graphic design. Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard computer illustration software. Use Illustrator to draw shapes and design logos, flyers, posters, banners, business cards or any other vector graphics for print or web. Adobe InDesign is the industry standard page-layout program that works with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop seamlessly. InDesign allows you to create simple to complex multi-page documents such as brochures, flyers, books and magazines. Use Adobe Photoshop to effectively work with selection and editing tools, layers, and masks to edit, retouch and enhance existing images or create your own composite digital art work. Access to the Adobe software tools required. Software Requirements: For all online Adobe classes, students are responsible for purchasing their own software for their course. Trial versions of Adobe software are sometimes available on the Adobe company website. If you're taking the entire Graphic Design certificate, you will need Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. This course offers 3 classes that together can qualify you for a certificate. If you register for all three classes at once, they will be discounted at checkout. These classes can otherwise be taken individually. How the Course Works: A few days before the class begins you will be emailed an invitation into the online classroom. Click to accept the invite and set up a password to access the classroom. For subsequent sessions go to the classroom and use your email address and password to access it. Participate when you want! You can participate any time of day or evening. The online classroom is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no live real-time requirements or meetings. You decide when you participate. Behavior Guidelines Please remember that participation in Community Education programs is voluntary. Students are expected to act respectfully throughout their participation. Community Education reserves the right to remove a student from a program at any time if they display inappropriate or unsafe behaviors. Cancellation Policy If you are unable to take the class you can request a refund before the second day of class. There will be a $25 deduction from any refunds except programs canceled by Community Ed.

  • Junior High Cross Country Camp, Grades 7-8

    The Junior High Cross Country Camp will provide a fun atmosphere for both boys and girls to learn about and train for cross country and distance running. During these dates campers will learn about proper stretching, running technique and many more insights on running. You will also get a chance to build-up aerobic endurance through organized runs. Plus the camp offers the opportunity to get in shape and have fun with others...it is more fun to run with others! Meet up down by the track at VHS. Camp fee includes a t-shirt, water bottle, run sticker, and a distance booklet.

    Junior Zoologist (PM), Grades 1-2

    Take on the role of a Zoologist and explore an animal of your choice and learn about the lifestyle and habitat of that animal. Student Zoologists will be using kid-friendly websites, books, zoo watch cams from the Smithsonian's National Zoo website, and other popular zoos. Zoologists will collect data on the animal's behavior and create a graph to explain their data. Zoologists will create a poster that shares their learning to take home at the end of the week!   • Kevin Ferguson Offensive Line Skills Academy, Grades 5-9

    Designed to develop lineman skills and techniques to take your play to the next level. This camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of Offensive Line Play. We will coach safe and proper technique through drills for specific parts of the game including run blocking, pass protection and more. Competitions will be held throughout camp. Come ready to learn and focus on how to make yourself better both mentally and physically in reaching your full potential as an offensive lineman. Please bring Cleats/T-shirt / Shorts / Water Bottle.
